I am really happy with this device; it has a lot of settings, all of the point marks I have made have held up really well, and larger sheets may be used with the appropriate setting. The best 18650 battery can be melted using a soldering iron; however, for other types of batteries, it is not recommended because of the excessively large electrodenabstand. As an addition, I would suggest the U.S. Solid S70A, which are the individual stifte. A fusspedal is included in the package to facilitate the release.
This welder is really good. It functions flawlessly when I set it to 02t for 0.2 pure nickel strips. It readily burns through them at 0.4. The power numbers appear to be reversed. 91t is not as strong as 09t. It burns through everything I own at 09t. Although I couldn't test it, I'm confident it can easily manage 0.4mm. The arm cable is a little too short, but it functions. I'm not clear why it has to be vertical when I can utilize it more easily in a horizontal orientation. pricey but well worth it.
For my 21700 battery pack with 0.2mm thick pure solid nickel strips, Glitter 801H performed flawlessly. The timer is set to 25t, and I used it in the highest voltage (6V) mode. Here are a few pointers: Welding two nickel strips together requires a conductive surface with low adhesion; copper or aluminum work well for this type of surface; avoid welding nickel strips to plastic or wood. Use less time and more power (or, in this case, more voltage and less time) for a better weld. After welding a set of batteries, use a Dremel to clean the tips of the welding pencils with a finely abrasive sponge. When the welding pencils are pressed together, the spring inside the pens begins to compress (maybe with a force of 0.5–1 kg).
