The purpose of a sealer is to keep the contents of a bag fresh. Simple to use, and the cost is significantly less than the value of food lost. I also discovered that I was using it to seal things that weren't food. I've never used or owned a sealer before, so just in case, leave room in the bag for the seal, haha.

This sealer is my favorite because it can be recharged and is compact enough to put in our camper's drawer. For bags of cereal and chips, it works fantastically. When using thicker plastic, such as that found in drinking straws (we were attempting to create portable honey straws), it did not perform as well. Overall, this is a useful small tool that allows you to seal all of your bags without having to remember where you put all of the bag clips.
