I adore this station since it's simple to use and contains everything you need to perform some soldering and rework without breaking the bank. The solder can have its temperature adjusted in addition to its tips, and the heat gun's air flow and temperature can be adjusted. Adjusting the air flow and measuring your temperature accurately are two significant improvements over less expensive equipment like heat guns and solder pens that resembled this but had far less functionality. Although the heat gun's ability to reach lower temperatures—like 100 degrees—is useful for items that require regulated heat without the use of an oven for curing, the advertisement has the temperatures reversed. When you turn off the heat gun, it cools down as well, but the fans continue to run.
I've been pleasantly delighted by this solder station so far, especially considering the price. I have a long history of soldering, primarily on hobby projects like remote-control vehicles, planes, and multirotor aircraft, with a side interest in electronics tinkering and repair. Even though I already have a good Hakko FX-888D soldering iron, having a backup solder station never hurts. I needed a hot air rework station. Although this unit's general appearance is a little flimsy and inexpensive, it has operated wonderfully for me since I received it, so that does not inspire confidence. I've been taught F since I was a little child, so while I can feel 75 degrees, I can't feel 24 degrees, and attempting to convert it causes pain to my brain.
